On this very day, a very close friend of mine has just lost someone very dear to him. Someone he'd looked up to as a hero, a parent and as a friend. One, whom he'd treasure always. His grandpa...

The deceased passed away peacefully with his wishes fulfilled and with his life which he had lived to the fullest.

I wish to extend my deepest condolences to my friend and the family members of the deceased.

Hi and welcome to my pathetic life. Well, it was not all that pathetic really. I had a good ol' 22 years of fun and excitement before the nightmare started. I used to be a true city boy. Lotsa exposure from entertainment to shopping to food. No kidding...

Now, imagine all of them gone at once. Yessirree!!! All of them GONE, DISAPPEARED, HILANG, MOU CHOR, ILEK!!! No shopping malls, No pubs, No discos, No foodcourts, Heck! Even No GIRLS!!! For God's sake! How to live like that???

Again, sincerely from the bottom of my heart, I welcome you to my current life in PAKA, TERENGGANU. Ummm...Where was that again?

FYI, Paka is located on the East of Peninsular Malaysia. If you look close enough to the map I provided above, you can see it. You can't? Squint your eyes a little will ya? OK...OK...Now where's that stupid #$%&*@ zoom function?

Still cannot see ar? Well, I do hope you get what I mean by "How f*cking small and deserted this place could be!!!". You could have passed this place without noticing Paka on your way to Pulau Redang, Kuala Terengganu and Kota Bahru. Just in case, you really want to know where exactly on EARTH, Paka is; it is located right between Dungun and Kerteh. Right there...

If you still can't see where Paka is, you are qualified to participate in the Paralympics.

Some of my friends tell me that it is not all that bad living in a small secluded kampung. Words of comfort like "It's relaxing without the hustle and bustle of the city", "The sea breeze over there should be nice", "There's so many healthy outdoor activities that you could take part in. E.g.: Scuba diving, fishing, bicycling" and yada-yada-yada...you get my point. I guess you could say that if you are staying over for a two-week holiday or so. But to live here permenantly??? God help me!

There is some truth behind it though. Where else would you find this?
